BEAT THE HEAT SKATE COMPETITION

Mark your calendars for July 1st, as Medicine Hat, Alberta, will once again host this exciting event. “Beat the Heat” is not just any skateboard competition; it is one of only two events in the country this year that contribute towards ranking points for amateur skateboarders. It is Canada’s largest amateur skateboard competition.

Join us for a meaningful event this Canada Day at our Citizenship Celebration, where we honor and welcome new Canadians as they officially become part of our national family!

In partnership with the MP’s Office, this celebration acknowledges the incredible journeys of individuals from around the world who now call Canada home. It stands as a powerful reminder of the values we cherish: inclusion, belonging, and community. We are thrilled to announce that several dignitaries will be present, bringing greetings during the event from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on the main stage.

Come wave your flag, cheer them on, and celebrate what it means to be Canadian — together!

GORD BAMFORD CONCERT

This July 1st, The Kin Coulee Band Shell, at 9:45pm, award winning country musician Gord Bamford is headlining at the 2025 Canada Day Festival! But that’s not all. The whole day will be an incredible celebration of culture, music, food, and more, with an incredible firework show to end the day at 11pm!
